About Talia Brown

I am a graduating senior at Clarkstown High School North. I has been working in clay for the past two years, and absolutely love it.

The way we view human figures and replicate them is intriguing. Throughout history dolls have been created as miniature figures. These dolls are cherished by children as toys and by adults as collectables. I explored the idea of the doll in my concentration. The idea started with simple primitive shaped forms, and expanded into figures that have more recognizable characteristics.  Each sculpture individually brings forth its own identity, intricate carvings, and a variety of glaze colorings.

Flute has been a part of my life for nine years. I picked up the flute that was collecting dust in the basement, and began to play. A few years later I began to take lessons, and has not put the flute down since. I participate in all different types of bands and organizations.; from Rockland Youth Jazz Ensemble under Peter Furlan and participating in the Area All State Band, to playing in all the school musicals and summer programs.
